Employers of record for UK employers

Employ staff in the UK or overseas through a third party while you set up, or instead of setting up.

What they do

An employer of record legally employs staff on your behalf, running contracts, payroll and statutory obligations while they work for you. Used to hire in the UK before you have an entity, to employ someone abroad without opening a branch, or to bridge the gap while a sponsor licence is being obtained.

What to check before you hire one

Confirm who is the legal employer, which country’s law applies and who holds the sponsor licence if the worker needs a visa — an EOR cannot sponsor a worker for you unless they hold the licence and the worker genuinely works for them.
